The Living spaces
The front door of Château de Gandillac opens onto a monumental stone staircase which leads to the bedrooms on the first floor. The entrance itself opens to the left into a large dining room with a stone fireplace which itself gives access to the kitchen and its inglenook fireplace (large traditional fireplace). To the right of the entrance are two adjoining lounges, one with its wooden fireplace decorated with a painted trumeau representing a hunting scene, the other with its monumental 17th century stone fireplace.
In addition to these main rooms are two guest toilets, stairs and their landings, and the two towers of the castle, one being the oldest part of the castle since it dates back to the 15th century, the other no longer having only two floors after being amputated during the revolution.
The spaces are furnished with a combination of family furniture, antique furniture and some quality modern furniture, and the decoration is based on a set of old elements and mainly modern and contemporary paintings.
